Goodbye FrontPage…Hello Expression Web
Microsoft will be releasing Expression Studio, a set of web-design and graphics software that will try to compete with tools from Adobe. These products are Graphic Designer Expression Design, Interactive Designer Expression Blend, Expression Web and Expression Media
Expression Web is the replacement for FrontPage 2003 which will tightly integrate with their sever-side technology ASP.NET and includes similar features that are found in Adobe Dreamweaver such as website reporting, site and page templates, and improved CSS support.
To help you better transition from FrontPage 2003 to Expression Web you can read over this whitepaper (.pdf) created by Microsoft that explains the differences between the two programs, overview of the interface and features, and how to use exisiting FrontPage components.
You can check it out for yourself by downloading the first beta release. As of Dec 4th, Expression Web is available for purchase. To get you started, Microsoft has some nice training videos and tutorials from the site and another site LearnExpression.com has some video tutorials as well.
