A self-study class ($25) enabling students to learn at their own pace includes six lessons guiding you step-by-step on how to interact with a database and using AJAX controls.
This intermediate ASP.NET class will teach students the database class framework, ADO.NET that is used with ASP.NET to connect and interact with different types of databases such as SQL Server, ORACLE, XML and even MySQL. Understanding the syntax of structured query language (SQL) that communicates with the database is covered. Students will be taught different techniques in working with a database to retrieve, filter, display and format data on a web page.
Students will use the free database tool SQL Server 2012 Express to create their own database that their ASP.NET web pages will interact.
